This is my favorite of all the laces in my collection.

I found it in a small shop off the beaten path in the Los Angeles Fabric District, and it is just as beautiful to me today as it was when I first saw it. The embroidery is so rich in color, with beautiful shades of pink and green against a sheer black background.

Even after all these years, I remember the shop, the people who were there, and how kind they were. It was simply one of those memorable fabric-shopping experiences—and this gorgeous lace came home with me.
