I purchased this shirting fabric from Alonso Sobrino in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. The light blue background with brown and white stripes immediately caught my attention, and the variation in the stripes adds even more visual interest.

I LOVE this fabric. I already had it made up in my head—a button-up shirt with white cuffs and a white collar...or perhaps some other type of color blocking. The possibilities were definitely there!

This is a beautiful-quality shirting with a crisp hand, moderate drape, and a slight sheen that gives the surface a subtle polish. It is lightweight, semi-opaque, and has no stretch.

At 58 inches wide, this is also a generously sized shirting that gives you a little more room to play with pattern placement or those color-blocking ideas.
